Welcome to Day 4 of the 12 Days of Reapit – Today we’re exploring the ways you can celebrate your agency, and more importantly, its agents, this holiday season. As we approach the close of 2023, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the year that was, and all the achievements and milestones your team has accomplished.
What better way to wrap up the year than by fostering camaraderie and team spirit through a few festivities? Let’s dive into some creative ideas that will add a touch of holiday magic to your agency celebrations.
We know you’ve heard it before, but Secret Santa really does bring the joy of gift-giving to any workspace. Platforms like Elfster or DrawNames can help you organise and pair team members for a seamless gift exchange. Encourage participants to share their wish list and spread some holiday cheer. This year in the Reapit Marketing Team, we organised a silly Secret Santa, with the goal of purchasing a small gift that would make the recipient laugh – And it truly did bring the joy!
Inject some humour and festive flair into your end of year celebration by hosting an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. Encourage your agents to don their most outrageous Christmas get-ups to the office one day before shutdown and let the laughter begin. Consider adding a voting element to crown the “ugliest” sweater and perhaps even offer a small prize for the winner. There’s nothing better than a light-hearted way to bond over shared laughter. This is another one we tried this year here at the Reapit head office, and it was a hit!
Test your agents’ knowledge of holiday traditions, pop culture and history with a holiday trivia extravaganza! Create a set of festive questions using a tool like Kahoot! to make things a bit more engaging, and you’re on your way to creating a bit of healthy festive competition.
If you’re looking for something a little more hands-on, a gingerbread house building challenge is your go-to – It’s much more difficult (and funny) than you would think! Challenge your agents to create their dream property using only gingerbread and have the team vote on the most impressive creation!
While it may be simple and the norm, a Christmas party is a meaningful way to connect and celebrate the accomplishments of your agency over the past year. Whether you go extravagant, like a day on a yacht, or a simple champagne toast at the office one afternoon, encourage team members to share their favourite moments from the year. It’s a great way to express gratitude for each other and raise a glass to the successes past, and those ahead too!
Remember, the end of the year is not just about looking back, but also forward to new opportunities and challenges. No matter what you choose to do, it’s a great time to embrace the festive spirit, strengthen the bonds of your agents and set the stage for a new, successful and collaborative year!
